Ansem was defeated; Kingdom Hearts was sealed; and the worlds were temporarily safe. Sora and his companions began a quest to find King Mickey and Riku, lost during the closing of the door. Their search brought them to the ominous Castle Oblivion. Here, they were confronted with a mysterious man in a black cloak. He spoke in riddles, coaxed them further into the immaculate castle, and there Sora and his friends were ambushed.
Using the powers of the memory witch Naminé, the inhabitants of Castle Oblivion -- lead by the neophyte Marluxia -- placed Sora and his companions in Memory Pods. In a comatose state, they were fed a web of lies. Naminé let them learn of Nobodies, the Organization, led them to believe that they had confronted and defeated them.
In the meantime, Organization XIII utilized the power of their thirteenth member, Roxas, to acquire enough hearts to complete Kingdom Hearts. The Order thrived, not without complication, and their goal seemed close at hand. Marluxia, Lord of Oblivion, and those under his temporary command -- Larxene, Axel, Vexen, Zexion and Lexaeus -- were tasked with the duties of reassuring that Sora remained asleep, learning of what powers he held that Roxas did not, and keeping their guest Riku from learning of what had happened to his friend. In the World That Never Was, Xemnas continued missions to reassure their success, passing them down to the remaining nobodies -- including Xion. Kingdom Hearts became fuller with each passing day, and it seemed all their dreams would be realized.
Until Axel stepped in.
Under previous orders to eliminate any traitorous members of the Organization, Axel, using the Riku Replica, coerced Naminé into following what she thought was right. Naminé freed Sora and those of Oblivion tasked to watch her were found at fault.
The Keybearer woke confused, his consciousness seeming to suddenly stop, then reawaken. Under Naminé's apologetic guide, he learned all the events he had accepted as truth were nothing more than a snowballing lie. He hadn't beaten the Organization. He hadn't even met them. They were instead flourishing, goals near to completion. Worse yet, the worlds Sora had saved were once again on their last thread of light and life. The friends he'd made along the way were in danger as well.
Angry and scared for his loved ones, Sora has once again set out to rid the world of darkness.
kingdom hearts realm is an au set after the events of kingdom hearts one, incorporating canons from kingdom hearts, final fantasy, and any fandom of your choice. we also welcome original characters.
